Brampton newborn photography with siblings

I have been photographing newborns, babies and kids for over 10 years and I have seen all the personalities. Sometimes getting photos of your new baby and baby's 2 year old sibling is a bit of a challenge for many reasons. There are many variables that go into a newborn photo shoot: fussy baby but toddler cooperates, sleepy baby but toddler is not in the mood to even look at baby, tired siblings, multiple siblings, and of course just very nature of a two year old. Sometimes the toddler is tired; after all, it's a big adjustment having a new baby in your house and Mom and Dad are busy with the new baby and usually tired themselves. But there is no need to stress about it! An experienced newborn photographer can be ready for that one fleeting moment when big brother decides to give baby one quick kiss. Newborn and family photographers have some tricks up our sleeves to help the process along, too. Staying relaxed is key to achieve the right environment for some sibling moments. I was thinking about this process the other day when photographing a sweet newborn girl with her big brother and sister and how important it is to document this stage in photos as it does go by so quickly.
